Swiss SVG-Trophy
The SWISS SVG Trophy is a team cooking competition aimed specifically at the hospital, care-home and communal catering industry. Each team comprises three professional chefs. Their task, as set by the Swiss Chefs’ Association (SKV), is to create an appealing three-course menu. A panel of experts narrows down the teams based on the best entries. Those qualifying for the final will then cook their submitted menu for 60 people within their own establishment. The teams are all competing for the SWISS SVG Trophy, an overnight stay with a celebrity chef and recognition as the best Swiss team in hospital, care-home and communal catering 2023.

The Swiss National Culinary Team
A focus on gastronomy
Over the next few years, the team will proudly put their passion and, above all, exceptional culinary skills to the test representing Switzerland, the Swiss Chefs’ Association and Swiss culinary profession at international competitions such as the Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart or the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg. Besides professional commitment, this calls for numerous training sessions and practice runs to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

What is the Cycle Bocuse d'Or?
Prior to the Bocuse d’Or final, which takes place every two years in Lyon, there is the national elimination stage. In Switzerland, this follows the same format as the final in Lyon. Several chefs create and cook their dishes live using specified ingredients. The winner subsequently takes part in the European stage, Bocuse d’Or Europe, one of the continental elimination rounds. A total of 60 nations take part in the international competition. In Europe, 18 candidates compete against each other with the best 10 qualifying for the final in Lyon. 24 national teams then meet in Lyon, where they are required to complete two theme-based dishes in 5 hours and 35 minutes.
